Welcome to the Islamic Academy of Delaware

 

Established in 2008, we are a full-time school affiliated with the Islamic Society of Delaware and registered with the Delaware Department of Education, serving the needs of the Muslim community in the State of Delaware. We are currently accepting registration for grades Pre-K through 6th.

 

We invite you to learn more about us by exploring our website. The Islamic Academy of Delaware (IAD) is defined by its academic strength, diversity of opinion, respect for it's students, celebration of creativity, and joy in learning. Dear Islamic Academy of Delaware Parents

Alsalamu Alikum WaRahmatuh Allah Wa Barakatuh

On Monday February 20th, the Islamic Academy of Delaware started the Annual Arabic Week.

The Objective of this week is to highlight the importance of learning Arabic as the language of the Quran

The following activities will take place during this week:

1. Teachers and students are expected and encouraged to communicate in Arabic with each other and with the students.

2. Creative homework assignments in Arabic, Islamic studies and Quran will be emphasized during the arabic week

3. kids will participate in various school activities including:

a. Recitation of formal classic Arabic prose and poetry

b. Nashid

c. Plays/Sketches

d. Jeopardy Games in Arabic

The Week is Concluded on Thursday, February 23rd with IAD Children performance in various activities based on age. Performance starts at 9:00AM and continues till 11:00AM

All Parents and Community Members are invited to attend !

Parents are Invited to attend Thursday, Feb 23rd from 9:00AM till 11:00AM to their children performance

Assalam Wa Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

Masha Allah, the kids put a great effort in building various projects related to Hajj. Each project was unique and truly presented a collection of great imagination.

Projects included both individual and group level. All Projects were evaluated by three staff members and average scores were used to assign rankings.

Hajj Simulation PDF Print E-mail

Assalam Wa Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

Alhamdullilah, the Hajj Simulation activity organized by the school staff and group of dedicated volunteers and enacted by the students was a grand success. It was a unique experience for a lot of parents to witness the Hajj simulation.

Jazakallah Khair for making the event successful. May Allah SWT bless you all.
